We would like to inform you that the Baltic Media Accelerator selection process has now been concluded and the winners have been notified. We were truly impressed with the quality of the 72 applications we received, making the selection process very competitive. However, we could only select three winning projects. Using a three-phase comprehensive and transparent process, our Selection Committee has chosen the following winners for the acceleration programme: Radio 2.0 (Tallinn, Estonia), Hello Solyanka (Daugavpils, Latvia), Nanook (Vilnius, Lithuania).
The media accelerator is a 4-month programme for media companies spanning all stages of development: from functional prototypes and viable business plans to those with more significant traction seeking to expand into the Baltic countries and international markets.
We encourage to submit your application in English or Russian as early as possible to maximise your chances of success. Teams who are successful at the first stage will be invited to submit a work plan, budgets, business model and team chart through an expanded application form.
Final candidates for the programme will be announced by 18 October 2017. If you’re interested in applying but unsure if you meet the application criteria then please get in touch with the project coordinator Olga Proskurova on firstname.lastname@example.org
We accept applications from existing media companies and startups who engage Baltic audiences (including Russian speakers) and have a product or service that could be scaled up with the help of industry leaders, financial grants and bespoke training.
To be eligible to participate in the programme you need to meet the following criteria:
Your project must engage Russian speaking audiences in one or more of the following countries: Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania
You should have a viable plan for increasing audience share sustainably
Your project must be permanently based in Estonia, Latvia or Lithuania
You must be available to dedicate at least 8 hours per week to the accelerator between October 2017 and end of February 2018
